« "ICE" at the Gaylord Texan | Main | The drama has changed.... »
We lost our last two games this season. One was to Kansas State, the last was to A&M. Why did we lose? I don't know. We sucked and we should have won. I don't like it when we lose. Football ceases to exist after a loss. It is not to be talked about. I usually get in about 5 minutes to get my husband's take on the way we played, but after that - nada. Nothing.
I have a friend with a husband just like mine. We talked after the first loss and even though I was downstairs and my husband was upstairs, I still whispered into the phone "How was it after the game?"
"You know better than to ask me that question!"
"I know, I know, but I just wanted to hear someone else went through the same thing."
We did have fun around the Aggie game. It was in Austin the day after Thanksgiving. My friend from above and her husband flew in from Pennsylvania. They had a great turkey meal with our family instead of eating at some Mexican restaurant. We drove down, they stocked up on Texas gear, found tickets to the game, and luckily we found many things to talk about on the drive home that was not related to Texas football. Friend's hubby is a great story teller and loves Texas football about the same as my husband. I am glad they came to visit with us and can't wait until the next time.
We may get to a Bowl Game but will not be attending. To quote my husband after the loss to the Aggies, "This season is over for me."
