Internet service is back online. More blogging later.....
Hat tip to Sticks.
I have tons of reasons and excuses for not blogging and I really don't want to whine about it.
So hang with me and check back later.
I did have a good hair day today. Sometime it is the little things that make life good.
Today we signed Oldest up for soccer since her softball team was cancelled. Youngest will still get to play softball and she had a good practice on Thursday.
After they assessed Oldest, we went to a field and practiced hitting a softball on a batting tee. While one practiced, the other picked flowers.
On to Downtown Fort Worth to check out the Barnes and Noble bookstore before heading to Pizzaria Uno's for lunch.
As we walked to Uno's, I held my youngest's hand and watched my oldest walk in front of me. I could hear my husband behind me. The sun was out, the weather was nice, and all was good at that moment. I had a chance to think how lucky we are. We have our girls in sports, we just bought some books (not having to worry about money), and we were heading to a good lunch.
I am so thankful for all that I have.
You could get a new phone and make $99!
Hat tip to The Barganist.
Heading to our California office to train. I hate to leave my family again. But I will have a chance to visit with my Aunt. Back on Tuesday.
A chaptered story told on many blogs starts here and continues here:
Chapter Eight: Dinner
Then there’s all the stuff guys get in care packages. We have a table set up in the Dining Facility for stuff that guys don’t want or was sent to share. When we first set up the table, we had to chase off the local interpreters because they went hog wild over that stuff and the Soldiers weren’t getting much. As soon as they realized that there was enough to go around and there was a steady supply, they settled down.
One of the best things about dinner, though, is the company. It is nice to sit down, eat leisurely, and laugh and joke with the guys. Sometimes, it’s a bitch session and we get all whiny about something or other, but mostly it’s jokes and laughter, guys telling war stories about their last deployment or things done in years past.
I don’t tell many stories, though, especially on baked chicken night.
With eight years between us, my husband has been exposed to more music than I have. This is a good thing since he has introduced me to some great musicians. I was in high school in the very late 80's. He graduated in the early 80's.
Some of the music he introduced me to is in the extended entry.
I am very excited about this movie!!!
Thanks to Gradual Dazzle for the link.
We spent the weekend at my parents for an Easter Party at my Dad's work. The girls were able to ride a horse, hunt some eggs, and pet some rabbits, goats, and a pig.
It was a good visit and probably our last one before my parents move up.
I entered a logo contest for Hackmiiwii.com. And now it is open for votes. So if you like mine, vote for it here.
Thanks!!!
