Texas beats OSU, 47 to 28

This is one of my favorite away games since the OSU fans are friendly. And the tailgate before the game is fun. The announcer for OSU always calls the visiting team "Visitors" instead of by their name. That is unless the other team is doing bad. (foreshadowing comment, that was.) So the last time we visited and this year, I made up buttons with the word "Vistor" in burnt orange. A fun way to poke at their announcer. I have to give the announcer credit for being very enthusastic. The only time it is annoying is when Texas is not playing good. (another foreshadowing comment, that was.)

So on to the game with full expectations to beat OSU. But it was not so. Going into half time OSU had 28 points and we only had 11. It should have been the other way around. OSU was playing hard and we seemed to just be on the field. But after half time Texas came back and the final score was 47 to 28 with Texas winning. They did not allow OSU to score the whole second half and could have done it easily the first if they had tried.

Quoted from the Fort Worth Star Telegram:

"Mack Brown credited the slow start against Oklahoma State to the fact that players "expected a blowout" after watching the Cowboys struggle in recent games. He said the same mentality will not prevail against Baylor."

If we had played Baylor this week instead of OSU, we may have lost the game. So if it was to happen, it was a good time for it. I just hope next Saturday is not as stressfull.
