If you watch Alton Brown or read his books, you know that his is not a fan of kitchen tools that only have one purpose. He says:
I discovered this week that the grater now has another task to add. I have yet made it to the kitchen section to confirm this, but tell me if you notice much difference between the two items below? Can you guess what they each are?

Do you think even Alton would approve the multi-tasking since the items are so similar?

Well, the garlic clove peeler I just got out of the utensil bin at Goodwill is kind of silly, but the garlic goosher clearly fills a need, and we're not going to use the same one for extruding polymer clay.
